Cut and paste files on Mac
Select files, press ⌘X, go to another folder and press ⌘V. They move. No extra keys to remember.
Cut, then paste anywhere
Cut marks the files and leaves them where they are until you paste, so nothing disappears if you change your mind. Paste moves them into the folder you are looking at; Paste into Folder puts them inside the folder you selected.
Safe across disks
A move to another disk is a copy first. FolderZoom checks the copy before it removes the original, and a file that cannot be read is reported, never lost. One bad file never stops the rest: retry it or skip it.
Clashes, one question
When files with the same names are already there, you choose once for all of them: replace, keep both or skip. Folders merge instead of being wiped, and a replaced file goes to the Trash.
Undo any move
Press ⌘Z and the files go back where they were. Copies, renames and trashing undo the same way.
Free on the Mac App Store, for macOS 26 or later. Pro is an optional yearly subscription.
