Zip, RAR (including RAR 5), 7z and tar, plain or compressed with gzip, bzip2 or xz. A single .gz, .bz2 or .xz file unpacks beside itself.
Look inside first
Open an archive and browse it like a folder. Extract all of it, or select what you need and drag it out.
Compress
Compress makes a zip of any selection, beside the originals.
Safe to open
Names that would write outside the destination are refused, and nothing already there is overwritten without asking. An archive that needs a password says so.
